The hotel was comfy and fabulous, we liked its really helpful staff. The location was comfortable, very close to old town. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, it was a bonus.

The location of the guest house is very convenient, just off the main street and within walking distance of good restaurants, even at night. The staff, including the owners, are extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to provide helpful information. You can also enjoy chatting with other guests in the cozy common areas. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide selection of delicious options. Plus, there are additional facilities like a licensed bar and a pool.

The parking options at the guest house could be limited.

Booking over the internet is sometimes a risk but I was blown away by The Gumtree Guest House. On arrival the owner came to greet us at the car knowing exactly who we were and invited us for a welcome drink. So friendly and helpful made you feel right at home. They even made bookings for us at a great restaurant for dinner, told us about all the site seeings. The room were excellent had everything and more, the location of the Guest House is great. You have a great view and you are walking distance from everything. Breakfast is a must! The Gumtree Guest House is a great choice you won't be disappointed.

Phil and Linda are wonderful hosts, and made me feel very welcome. They could recommend a few good restaurants based on their personal experience, and I was not disappointed. The guesthouse is very centrally located and within walking distance to most shops and the CBD. The breakfast was a good variety of wholesome food and in all, the package is very good value for money.

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, right in the center of town and close to some incredible restaurants. We felt safe walking around, even when it was dark. The hotel itself was beautiful, with a historic suspension bridge adjacent to it and a lovely view of the river. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, and the owners, Phil and Linda, made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with both continental and cooked options. We felt like we were dining in a gastronomic restaurant! The service here was impeccable.
